    Hi,

Has anyone also had issues with Apple Carplay with music and maps?
When I skip songs with the controls on my steering wheel, the music doesn't skip right away. It lags a minute and fast-forwards the song that is currently playing. I have to turn off the radio completely and turn it back on. Super annoying killing my jam.
With Apple Maps, Carplay is a couple miles behind (i.e. I arrived at my destination, Carplay is showing I still have 2 miles to go, or my turn is 3 miles away, Carplay is showing I still have 3.7 miles to go before my next turn, etc.)

I've read forums on Apple and couldn't find much. I don't recall seeing any discussions on here either.
It's annoying when I'm driving in mountains on roads I'm not familiar with, especially when it's snowing I gotta bust a b cuz I missed my turn.

    I have a 2020 Sport 4x4 and iPhone 11 Pro running 16.1.1
    Halp.

    A couple of possible reasons/solutions:

    -Is your iphone updated?

-Have you tried a different iPhone cable?

-Is your firmware up to date on your truck? Mine was out of date for awhile and it was causing my voice to be super scratchy and hard to hear on bluetooth calls.

-Dont know if this would work but try resetting Apple Carplay on your phone:
Go to iPhone Setting > General Settings > CarPlay, click on your car’s name and click “Forget This Car.” Then, reconnect CarPlay afresh like a new user. Idk if thats doable for Carplay on our trucks.

I had toyota check my firmware when I took it in for service and they updated it for me, i think theres a way to do it yourself too. If you still have covered service through them maybe ask em to update your firmware and tell them about the CarPlay issue.
