    Hello All,

I recently purchased a 2020 Tacoma and it does have Apple CarPlay. I have done everything to try to get it connected but all I receive is the “can’t be recognized error when I plug it in! Does anyone have any suggestions before I take it to get looked at.

    thank you!

Try to clear the radio from the phone’s Bluetooth and CarPlay memory.
Settings > general > car play
If you see the truck radio, delete it. This will re-so the CarPlay approval when you plug the phone back in.

    If that doesn’t work:

    1) Try multiple cables. Not all cables work. If you have access to another vehicle with CarPlay, check the cable in that vehicle.
    2) Try a different phone
    3) Look under the dash and pull the radio fuse and put it back to perform a hard reset.

iIve had to play around with turning my bluetooth off from my phone so when i go to plug the cable in there isn't multiple inputs. But i haven't had that issue for a bit. Not sure if that was an iOS issue or not.
