Anytime backup camera image upside down

    I recently installed an any time back up camera on my 2020 Tacoma. Originally, the image was reversed from left to right. I cut the green wire and now the left /right orientation is normal but the image is now upside down. Any help?

    Thank you Tullie D! unfortunately, I know I have the wires hooked up right. I believe the camera itself is defective. It is a cheap Chinese knock off that anytime backup camera uses. The technical support from anytime backup camera has been horrible. I’ve sent them several emails but they have never replied.If they ever apply I’m going to ask them for a replacement camera. I recently hooked the same kit up to another Toyota product without any issues whatsoever. The kit is basically a plug and play item.

    I wouldn't bother with trying to get a replacement camera from them. From what I've gathered here they supply nothing but shitty chinese cameras and it seems that different ones get sent out depending when you order like they order several different ones depending on what's available. I just installed mine last week with the Natika camera that many folks here are a fan of and it's great! It's about $40 on Amazon but worth it.

    Thank you TurdTaco64! That what I was thinking too! I will try to order a new camera. BTW.... since they didnt respond to my correspondences, I stopped payment!

    Same here camera is upside down and it won’t mirror image. I cut the green wire and it went upside down. Cut the white wire hopping that it would mirror but it took out the lines. Email them but no reply yet.

    I’m sorry to hear that you are having the same problem that I did. After multiple emails, they emailed me back yesterday and said they were going to send me a new camera. It will be interesting to see if they actually send me a new camera. I won’t pay them until everything works. Maybe if you haven’t paid them then they will answer your email. Good luck!!

    Out of curiosity how do you guys have it mounted? Some cameras require the thread nipple to be up and others horizontal.

    I think the camera they sent out have the green wire to flip video instead on mirror video. As the one from Natika has 3 wires that can be cut. Green wire (mirror) white wire (guide line) and purple wire (flip upside down)

    Mine was the supplied camera from the Anytime backup camera. Mine mounted with nipple up as per all video instructions. Did some research about the chinese camera manufacturer online and found many complaints about having the image upside down with no way to correct.

    So they emailed back. And are working on getting a new batch of cameras that aren’t defective. They are hoping to send out replacement by end of the month.

    Yep.....and the check is in the mail..............

    Better order unit from a different source and brand.

    No guarantee the "replacement" will be any better. Likely from their same source.

    UPDATE:

    Anytime backup cmaera sent a replacement camera. Plugged it in and it didnt work at all (black screen)....LOL!!! I am asking them to send me a new one that is tested first.
