+1 I grew up seeing them on the back of farm and ranch trucks. It was normal to see a lariat and a halter hanging from a headache rack.

Kinda odd this thread received more post the second time around than the first, lol.

I have one of these on my truck, but it's a regular cab, not a double cab. It looks fine, feels really solid, and went on with not much fuss. The uprights come up an inch or two above the cab height; the part that says "back rack" in the photo is at or just under the cab height.

Raise from the dead! I'm looking at headache racks too. Blew my back window out last year hauling firewood + needed to protect the roof when moving a long ladder. Pics/opinions wanted.

I've seen/heard of people buying a cargo divider and inverting it when necessary to protect the back window.

I wish I had one of these when my brother borrowed the truck and promptly smashed a charcoal grille through the back window...

During a front end collision, your truck will be in a nose down attitude. Anything not tied down in the bed will be instantly catapulted forward, possibly through the back window. That little flimsy slider won't stop chit.

I have one on my access cab. I was able to mount it using the bed channel, a bracket from the manufacturer and some different "channel" nuts and bolts from a local add-on store . That thing is very solid. It protects everything, roof, rear glass and your head. I mounted a tool box over it, all no bed drill. I put it on an '05 Frontier after a minor disaster sold me on the idea and used it for eight years. I took it off when trading. It now resides on a '15 access.
