Just wondering what your experience has been like. I sold my A Frame camper and will be purchasing a Tag Boondook XL.

Those are pretty cool. It'll have less room than your A-Frame since it's a teardrop, make sure you invest in a big EZ-up or awning.

Have you considered making one? TNTTT (http://tnttt.com/) is a GREAT site for resources on builds. I made one in college while I was living in an apartment using battery operated tools for under $2k. It'd be super easy now, I could likely make a small (4x8) on a harbor freight chassis in a weekend with all the tools and crap I have (check this link for some designs: http://tnttt.com/Design_Library/Design_Library.html). The site's straight out of Geocities so it's hard to read, but there's a ton of great folks and info there.

When I built mine, I made a standie, which is closer to a T@B than a T@G. I towed it behind my '98 Honda CRV and it was fine, way better than the bigger camper we used before it. I ended up giving it to my neighbors after we had it for 8 years, I never used it after we started having kiddos 5 years ago.

A fair word of warning on building, cost will reflect the quality if you take that route. My $2k camper looked a bit rough. I could do it a lot better now and get it to look production-like with the skills I picked up, but I would have to spend more. I could probably build a crappy looking weekender model on a HF chassis for under $1k with no galley, or a production-looking one for around $2k. The materials are REALLY cheap on these things, the T@B and T@G included.

Unfortunately we recently moved and downsized, my A122 SXR will not fit in the new garage, but there's more to it than that.
I like camping in remote locations and my A frame was just to big to maneuver in some of these back country sites, I also really like the simplicity of a teardrop.

Yeah I understand that. I came from a run away camper which is pretty much a tear drop. It’s just so nice to stand up lol.
