Trying to decide between the Rugged Trek and Falken WildPeak AT4’s. Need a little help with this decision from those of you who have or had these.

I have 40k miles on e rated on my F350 diesel. Waiting to see if I can get 50k out of them.

Way heavier of a truck. I only got about 40-45k on three sets if KO2’s before on same truck. I like the Coopers better especially after they have miles on them.

I got a set of them for a good deal and they've rode nicely for the last 10k. A lot more quiet than my old nittos, and they're both LTs.

Falkens are also a really great tire. Probably better than the coopers, but def more expensive.

Are your Coopers XL? This is all the dealers sell around me. Been doing a lot of research and the reviews for the Falkens are either really good or really bad. Nothing consistent. But I am getting a lot more consistent reviews on the Coopers. Mostly positive and the negative being road noise. I have a Borla exhaust so road noise really won’t be an issue for me. However, many people say they are quiet, so that is the only inconsistent thing I’ve discovered about them.

I have the 'Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek All Terrain LT265/70R17 121/118Q'. No issue with me on the road noise, but if you've never had LTs then you might find the ride more stiff.

By LT do you mean E load? All I can find right now is XL. This just means the tire can handle more weight. But I don’t think it is an E load.

I have 265/70/17s in the SL variant because I don't do anything that requires a LT tire. Plus they're lighter! I love them and will be getting another set once it's time. I have had mine for Almost 40k miles and 3 years. Still got about 10k miles of life left on them, but they are starting to show signs of some dryrot though. They were super grippy and quiet at first, not as much now.

Where did you get the SL’s? I can only find them in XL 265/65/18

I got mine at mavis tire and brakes, but I got curious because I don't see an SL anywhere either. Looked at mine and they're an XL, not SL. I could of swore they were an SL.

Both the Wildpeaks and Rugged Treks are great tires. I had the AT3s and got a full set for $540 at the time. Definitely worth it at $150 per tire or less. Got 55k out of them and coulda / shoulda went longer.

The RT are really great. Killer wear and traction while being quiet. Definitely worth it.

Getting the Coopers installed next Saturday! Only have to wait till then because I’m installing upper control arms. Might as well do the alignment all at once!

Stock as can be. 2nd owner, mild rust from Illinois owner. Frame is solid and plan on just getting a toolbox for the bed, black steel wheels and some 31x10.5R15
How so you like the coopers so far? No terrible road noise?

Road noise not bad. I can hear the sound of the tires but not loud or annoying. Looking forward to how they do in the snow. Michigan warmed up since I got them and the snow melted off the roads.
