Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Came with the truck, but I like the way they look.

Edit: added a picture without the sun flare.

No, it came with the Tacoma XSP-X Package which was dealer add-on in the SouthEast USA.

Do the rivets actually connect to the fender holes. If not how are they attached along the top to the fender

the rivets don't connect to the fender holes. They don't attached at the top, they are considered pocket style. They are screwed in under the wheel well.

I saw you could buy black rivets on ebay before. I've also seen some guys make them true bolt ons to the fenders.

You can... Bolts can be line up to some fender holes. Can be done with a little modification

I’ve been planning on taking some small aluminum flat bar, drilling and tapping it at each end to where one end goes in the stock fender mounting holes, and the other lines up with the faux-attachment points. Then mark where they need to line up, use 2 sided tape to put them in place, and bolt the fender on.

I’ve got nothing better to do with my life at times, and I own a milling machine, so why not.

Know this is an older thread but is there a preferred brand or a brand to stay away from? I have seen them ranging from 299 to 499. Thanks.

Any functional improvements with the bushwacker flares?

I was previously missing a flare. I am no longer missing a flare.

If yours are older and have broken clips/etc, then they’re an improvement. Otherwise, it’s just aesthetics.

I currently have bushwhackers on mine. Looks decent but I’m looking to swap back to the OEM flares. Anyone have any 202 black shortbed flares they want to part with?

Wish they made flares as big as bushwackers without the rivets.
