I broke a leaf yesterday the trucks out of warranty I don't have much money and want to replace both sides. I found this site General spring that doesn't look too bad what do you guys think. Shipped to my door with u bolts the total price would be around $440

Hey, new member here, and yes I just ordered rear leaf springs for a 2003 Tacoma from General Springs.
I had a broken leaf on the right side and decided to do both sides and be done with it. I wasn't looking for any additional lift/capacity, just replacement springs. The General springs were not only the cheapest, but they were clearly better quality than the original springs. (clips, bends, cuts, etc.) They arrived on time, and I had them installed yesterday. Don't let the price fool you, these are good factory replacements.
We'll see how they hold up but I believe they will be far superior to the junk factory springs.

How did these hold out for you? I have read good and bad about these and just do not have the money to waste, but I have got to do something my 2002 Double Cab Pre-runner is beginning to sag tremendously. I haul a trailer regularly and have a bedcap on my truck.
Sorry about re-upping this old of a thread.

Anyone who’s bought General Springs for their 2nd gen - how have they worked out?

I broke 1 leaf on the driver’s side for my 2012 SR5 4x4 Access cab 2.7 M/T with 150k miles and am considering these. I would like to get the heavier duty for a little extra protection the few times I load things to near capacity but do not care about the appearance of any additional lift. Since the heavy duties are only $10 more per side, cost is not a factor but - for any owners with a similar 4x4 who went with heavy duties, how has that worked out for you? Rear was not raised too much? It settled in eventually/soon to not look too high vs. stock? Thanks.

Also how long did the standard shipping take to arrive?

I got my 63's from them when I converted DevilPenguin. No complaints on service or the product.
Held up very well so far.

@Yinzer I bought the heavy duty springs from general and have been rollin with them for about 3 months now. maybe too early to tell what the longevity is with them but so far i like them. they gave me about a 2.5" lift and though i havent measured i didnt notice a substantial sag when loaded down on a few camping trips (350+lbs). my first impressions upon receiving them was that they appear to be a quality spring. install was pretty simple even for someone like me who has never replaced leaf packs before. they buck a bit when there is no weight back there but nothing i thought to be uncomfortable. the price was right for me at the time as well. hope this helps. good luck mate!

edit: as far as shipping goes i received them in about a week or so and was impressed with how quickly they got them out the door.
