I've never seen this stuff on a shelf, anyone have experience with it? It says synthetic but it has a 5k change interval.

Doesn't even tell you the viscosity grade. Marketing hype.

The funny thing about these April Fools Day threads is that it’s exactly the same as all the threads that are posted daily the rest of the year.

Yes it’s a 40wt IIRC. It’s not AP (Group 4) but may be close. I’ve run Delvac 5W40 in the wife’s 4Runner back in the day for 20k miles and it was fine.

Well maybe it “used” to be a 40wt

    It’s available in 0w20, 5w20, and 5w30.

Probably to compete with the new Rotella Gas Truck oil. Meh doubt the fake dinosaurs know that chassis the motor is in.

They advertise it as better protection however on their same website they say that m1 ep has better protection from heat.

Bob has a bunch of threads discussing the use of this oil......people seem to like it. I was asking for a TW opinion.

Fine here is my opinion. Mobil 1 is a good oil. However it's the additive pack that really matters. I've noticed that with some 'niche' oils, M1 included, that the additive pack is reduced vs the original parent formulation. As for this particular Mobil oil, it's been awhile since I've looked at the specs but I don't remember anything remarkable one way or the other. If it was me and I wanted to use 0-20 M1, I'd just use M1 EP as it has the best additive pack THE LAST TIME I BOTHERED TO LOOK. All caps because oil formulations change CONSTANTLY. As an aside, you do realize that TGMO 0-20 is an excellent motor oil, comparable to any 0-20 M1 variety and better in some respects (moly for starters).

edit to add if TGMO was not available I'd use M1.
