I had one on my 2016 Ram 1500. I liked the looks but I had to sell the truck so I didn’t get to run it long.

The problem with these truck bug deflectors is, well, they don't really deflect bugs.
Been there, done that and tried it again...

There may be some that find them cosmetically appealing..

I want one too, but I just don't know if I like the look enough...I have like 4 rock chips right where a bug defector would go...hence why I want one..

Some on this thread. The guy with the orange truck did not get his on right to the edge like they are suppose to be. I had one on a 2015 Colorado but it was not this new style. Liked it but like this better.

The last post on that thread has a link for them on Amazon. That is the cheapest I have seen.

I got the first model, the cheaper one and really like it. I looked at the one your looking at but just didn’t want to spend the extra myself.C387DB18-5946-4143-989C-D04DAEBB6A66.jpg

I love the finish on these and they look really good with the black trim. I'm just skeptical about using 3M tape to stick something on my paint lol.

I prefer that flat slim model! Doesn't look too bad.

Is it raised at all, or is the entire piece just flat across the top?

I wonder how effective it is compared to others that have more of a raise.

I know what you mean. Something else, the smoke colored one I had on my Colorado dust/grime collected under it and there was no way to get it out. With the matte black you would not see it but I know it would be there because of my experience with the smoke colored one. The smoke one scratched real easy to. You didn't notice it unless the sun was shining. That may not be the case with the matte black.

Actually all they do is protect the front edge of your hood's paint from rock chips. The Aeroskin ll with the raised ridge across the back may deflect a few bugs though.

Neither will deflect anything more than a negligible number of bugs from becoming one with the windshield.
    Rock chip protection - sure
Bugs deflection - not so much

I'm honestly not too worried about bugs, more worried about rocks. I know it wont prevent everything, but if it can prevent a few chips I'll be happy.

I'm from Florida where we have the infamous love bug season twice a year, so I've given more than one of these, more than one shot. lol
If I liked the looks a little more I'd consider one myself for the rocks.

There is 3m tape around the entire piece, lays flat as it can. Prevents rock chips and looks good.

Great price on that one. Seems like they were a bit over $100 when I was trying to decide.

Yeah I looked at all the other supply sites I visit and Amazon has them the cheapest. Wondering since Christmas is over if that price will go up now. I need to get my new wheels mounted and my windows tinted before I can pop on one. Or buy a cheap Tyger soft fold tonneau cover.
