So for years and years we have ran and tried different brands on the market. Mobile 1 ( have about 300k on my tundra with it) Amsoil, Valvoline and more. Al which were great. But last year we had the privilege to learn a bit about oil. More so than most understand about what is what and what all the certifications mean and just really got to dive in to the oil industry as a whole.

With this we set out to talk to some reputable QUALITY brands to determine what we should offer as our go to oil for service packages and just to offer to customers and consumers in general.
In the end we felt that we would be in best hands and partnered with Liqui Moly . Yes the Euro Car Performance brand oil. WHile basically known for their presence in the euro car community and industry their line up of oils available and the specs are pretty much suited for all models. So we tested a few things. Unfortunately we didn't have all the knowledge that we thought we had . Even myself as a former Tribologist that tested oils everyday for a few years learned alot from working with Liqui Moly and their engineers and sales team.

Oil is more than just selecting the proper weight for the vehicle. Many brands have certain additive packages, certain specifications are required by manufactures. So just running down to AZ or your conor parts house isn't the best bet. We have been guilty for years . And again my tundra has ran walmart , autozone bought Mobile 1 for years and runs good. But I did learn a few things to help a issue I was having thanks to information acquired from Liqui Moly .

So check out our video and check out or service kit options and additives on the www.rogue-offroad.com website.

They are a sponsor, so respect that he's supporting our community.

I prefer liquimoly over the "Mary Kay" Amsoil bs. It's not my first choice, but its a great choice. I apprenticed in a liquimoly shop and we use it still on all our german models.

Of course your a Toyota owner. LOL Believe what you want if you were to dive in the joke of certifications and how easily it is to certify a oil you'd be shocked. Again we ran mobile 1 in our 700+ hp tundra for years and well over 300k miles. It definitely did its job. I bought a new Supra in 2020 and those have a oil burning issue from BMW and Toyota. LM said to flush it and run a certain oil from them in the supra . Sure enough that took care of the issue. One of our old customers from was back always had a oil smell when letting off the gas in his tundra. We did a change and flush and now he runs Liqui Moly in all his vehicles.

In the end you cant go wrong with any quality oil. But let me find a pic of a 4.0 that we have been servicing since 2015 with a certain synthetic brand oil exclusively. As thats what sparked our interest in finding a different oil to run .

Supercharged Tundras eat engines unless they run a higher quality oil. The factory 5W20 or even the factory 0W20 just isnt enough for all the pressure.

Supercharged 4.0's rarely fail but they barely produce any power. We rarely see modded ones, but I imagine they run the top tier oils.

Liqui Moly? I’ve never seen it in a store, I’ve never heard of it until this thread. I’ll just stick with what I can find locally.
If Mobil1 took you 300k, why bother with another brand anyway?

I have a foot in the European car world. Have driven VWs since 1987. Liqui Moly is well know in the Euro world.

Supertech scares me. Every time we have a customer that does a regear with supertech they have issues . Definitely recommend spending more for better protection.

Cause good is for some . I want the best . You wont see it in stores. thats one thing we learned the spec for store bought oil is scary . But it works . There's a a$$ for every seat. Some are okay with whatever. This appeals to those like myself that cant settle for good enough. or just okay .

Did you watch the video? We didn't discuss this in the video. Touched on it briefly about running different brands and only worrying about the weight of oil .

Ok ! Seen many failed regears due to improper lubrication for using "TOP OFF OIL" Supertech isn't to use for a oil change but you do you. Again the certifications are a joke. But hey oil is oil ! HAHA

Yes and at some point we will. This was just a video we did. It took me 2 months just to determine what to post on here after we did the video and the video was done over 4 month ago . One day Ill get my ish together and plan the whole thing out . LOL .

But even in racing we would just grab what ever. Im guilty as many. But best believe on my other vehicles that aren't toyota im using this . Think the next video we do will be either with our TRX or Ford Bronco and maybe we will dive further in depth in the technical side. We been trying to get the engineers to come out and do a video . So stay tuned.

I've been looking into that oil and it looks like its made by the same company that makes super tech. Have you had any issues?

    @Despized
I am also intrigued by this Liqui Moly...you should sell just the oil on your site outside of the filter package. Got plenty of those lol.
