I had a line-x bed liner in my 2004 Taco and it looked great and lasted without a scratch until I traded for my 2017. I wanted to do my flares, but my local line-x dealer wanted $425 with UV protection to prevent fading. I am going to buy some clips and spray with duplicolor bed liner. I will find some adhesive tape and get this done at home in a day hopefully. If the snow ever stops here.

I did line-x premium on my flares, front and rear bumper. Its been about 10 months. $750 for all.

I personally like the heavy texture and I can attest to the toughness. Never had a nick in my bedliner in 13 years. It is heavy though. I noticed the weight whenever I lifted the tailgate.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm probably going to end up doing all the black plastics just for consistency through out the truck. I really like how it looks.

    Please do...
I think the Ultra will look even better with the thinner application and more refined texture.

    I do.
Had to get my ARE Overland cap painted since Harvey totaled my 2016 OR.
    I replaced with a QS 2017 OR.
Did a bunch of research, went and checked out in person at a Linex dealer in Houston.
The Linex Ultra is fade resistant (and is the same stuff that ARE uses on both their ARE Overland caps and as an option to spray the whole cap with Linex Ultra).
The Linex is crazy strong....it’s added to the ARE Overland to give it more strength in high stress areas on the cap.
Long story short.....it’s the only stuff I would use on my $3K ARE Overland cap.
I paid $625 total. They put on multiple coats to even out the existing ARE Overland Linex coating/trim.....did a great job! Plus they had to spray around my Yakima rack tracks. Expensive...yep....but didn’t want a band-aid on my $36+K Taco.
The stuff is fine coated texture wise and semi-shiny in sunlight.....looks frikin great!
    Before and after shots.

I have had Line-X bedlines in a few of my trucks. The product is great. I have thrown tons, Literally tons of rocks, bricks, tile, and concrete and it is a very durable product. When I had my 08 Ram done they gave a lifetime warranty. I don't know if they still offer that.

I had the rockers Panels on my Cummins shot with line-x premium. (Truck was covered in rock chips). I no longer own the truck. But still see it on a daily basis and the line-x looks awesome to this day. It’s going on 2 years. Hit it with a pressure washer at the car wash and it’s clean

That looks great! Thanks for the input. I'm hoping to hear back from a few places today and maybe have this done on a day off next week.

Awesome, that what I like to hear. Thanks for the input. I think this will be a good addition to the truck.

Went to the local Line-X Dealer this morning. I asked for a quote for 4 flares and the black valance on the front bumper. The quote for the flares seems about right compared to what others paid. However, I don't think they understood what I meant by the valance as the price is almost the same as the total for the 4 flares. That's my fault I should have questioned it when they handed me the quote. When they said $592.80 I tuned out and was over it. When I got home to share this photo I realized that about half was for the valance alone. If I decide to move forward I will ask them to re quote.

I havent gone to the line-x shop yet but I did speak with the owner on phone who gave me a ball park of 6-800 and a 2 day turn around to do prrtty much all tgethe black plastics on the truck. I think thats pretty reasonable and I will likely have it done in the necn few weeks

Maybe take the flares off yourself and reinstall to save on labor.

That quote is if I hand deliver the parts. I won’t let them touch my truck. If anyone is going to break a clip or scratch the paint it will be me.

Just set up my appointment for april 10th to do the flares and all the black plastics on the bumpers. I'm hoping this makes them a lot more durable. I've messaged some of the other members on here who have the ultra on various parts of the truck and have yet to here of any chipping or peeling. pretty stoked. now to set up my rental car and then wait impatiently for the next 2 weeks to go by.

Good luck. Should look awesome when its done.

Pics when its done. And I am also curious to know what they put between the flares and the edge that touches the paint. Unless you already covered that with them and can share the solution.

The shop said there is a rubber gasket that will be kept in place and they havent seen any issues with rubbing on the paint or damage to the underlying surface.

Ill take some before and after pictures for sure.
