I'm hoping someone who has access, would be willing to look up recent auction results for me. I'm looking to trade my truck in something new but want to be armed with local auction prices for negotiation. 2006 Tacoma Access Cab SR5 Pre-runner TRD Off road V6 74,000 miles white. Zip code 85054 PHX, AZ. It's in very very good condition. I've already looked at KBB, Edmunds and NADA. When we bought my wife's car, the salesman straight out told us that we should look at recent local auction prices for trade in price negotiation. Not necessarily just NADA, Edmunds, or KBB

    Much appreciation!!!

White, debadged, Mudflaps removed, ICON 2.5 in front, 2.0 in rear, all 4 corners have reservoirs, Spidertrax wheel spacers all around, BAMF bolt on sliders, Avid lightbar, oem transmission cooler converted to power steering cooler, aftermarket transmission cooler eliminating all oem transmission cooler stuff, remote mounted spin on transmission fluid filter TrueTrac rear differential, rear diff housing vented and filtered into left side bed box, URD MAF calibrator, Volant intake scoop into oem airbox, second filter removed, airbox internals smoothed, blended and polished throttle body, NST intake manifold spacer, Wet Okolee set covers, WeatherTech Digital Fit mats, inexpensive JVC single DIN, Scangage, AVS Stepshield door sill protectors, Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, URD Y pipe with O2 sims.
FWIW, my wife works for Manheim and the concept seems sound, but most times when you see the values the trucks sold for they can be all over the place. Here in Florida, a lot has to do with where the buyer is selling the truck. If it's going to the islands, the dealer may pay more than fair US value, upping the amount. If there is a lot of the same passing through in a given month it could devalue. While it seems like a good idea, you may do better to check a local auto trader, to see what they sell for locally, then using your other sources find a good solid value to sell it for.

And as it is his company truck I suspect that was how it came from the dealer.

SR5 badging was dropped from the TRD models only a couple of years ago... I think '09.

Idk how the dealers in your area are but if you trade in a tacoma in ga thats under 150k and it aint beat up it aint getting auctioned off unless its at a Ferrari dealer.
So dont let the salesman yank your chain to much.

dealers love used Tacoma's and most always keep them to sell on their lots. People that are willing to pay ridiculous prices for used Tacoma's are our friends when we sell.
