I used their external door handle when mine broke and didn't see much difference in OE and Doorman,,, they've been around a long time, but,,, as everybody else in manufacturing, China crap. I think what broke my original handle was the leverage that is put on it by design and probably most of all was lack of lubrication on moving parts. My doorman handle has functioned fine after install, but I also pulled the door lock off and cleaned it up.

I still think OE is the best, specially the Japanese parts

they are okay for random pieces of hardware like grommets and cable stops and whatnot, but I wouldn't use any of their actual "parts".

4Runner Trail wheels and Toyo Open Country ATII tires 265-70-17. Cosmetic stuff like Pro grille and OffRoad black bumper trim, vinyl delete on side, added hood graphic, OEM tube steps.
For some stuff Dorman is sufficient and other stuff not. I replaced my kid's window regulator and it was a perfect fit and functions as it should for 1/5 the price of OEM (if you could even find it). On the flip side, I installed Dorman rear leaf springs and they absolutely suck. The noisiest pieces of crap ever, I have to lube them every month or the truck sounds like an 80 year old jalopy going over bumps. So the answer is, it's hit and miss. I'd venture to say that most Dorman stuff with do the job and is usually a decent alternative. But not always.
