Just picked up my '19 TRD Offroad two weeks ago but wanted your opinions on something...

The dealer had Simoniz Glass Coat for $597 with lifetime warranty. Also they had a 20+ year Corolla in their showroom that looked brand new that was treated with Simoniz and it looked amazing.

Has anyone every purchased the Simoniz Glass Coat and if so, what do you think now? Seems like a good deal but needed your recommendations....

Anyway, I'll be selling the rims & tires in the next week as I'm upgrading to the 17" TRD Rims with Nitto Ridge Grapplers. The tires will only have 500 miles on them so hoping to get some decent money back to help pay for the immediate upgrades. I also order my TRD Offroad hood wrap from another TW member today! Really appreciate all the good info out there posted.

I'd never pay a dealer for any of the "protectant" stuff. Just a 500 dollar wax job. (in more ways than one!)

My dealer wanted $700cdn for paint protection while a local detailer wanted $250cdn. I went with the $15.99 Meguier's Hybrid Ceramic Wax.:D

The Ceramic hybrid probably lasts a month while the "pro" paint protection likely lasts more like a year. In fact I think the Toyota protection needed a yearly refresh for $90 or $100 or something. I wasn't really paying attention to the sales pitch as I knew in advance that dealer supplied stuff is where they make the big profit margins and are better bought elsewhere, if at all.

My dealer was low stress but gave it a lifetime warranty. You could even bring in any other vehicle besides a Toyota but it would only come with a 7-yr warranty.

For $597 that's literally the price of two good detailing jobs and if it wears off I get it reapplied for zero. I don't know, starting to sound good?
