So I have had my 2015 Sport since 3/10 of this year and already suffered 2 blown out rear windows ! First time I was driving on a local road and I have no idea what hit it, but passenger side rear window just started falling apart as I was going and completely disintegrated into pieces before I could pull over. I assumed a rock kicked up or perhaps a punk with a BB gun. Today the land scapers were here and guess what, now the other side blew out. Ever feel like your vehicle was cursed ? I'm serious because I also have a small dent on passenger side that I have no idea got there ! You can see dent under "Sport" I have only 2,000 miles an already thinking I'm done with mods because it's doomed

Just hit mine accidentally with the head of my Golf Club the other day. Didn't break at all.

85K miles without any window issues like that...That's strange to me

I'm on my third windshield -- which has a rock chip right in the center. Lucky number 4 probably in the winter.

    That is so weird!

I have a friend who had this happen twice to his Ford Ranger's front drivers side window, while it was in a garage, so it's not completely unheard of

Tempered glass is under tension. Which is why they tend to explode when they do break.

    First one, I couldn't guess.

Second one, I'b be talking to the landscapers. About the dent too. My dad was mowing the lawn once and I came out to find my rear window busted w/ two separate holes. He 'claimed' he didn't know what happened but offered to pay for it. :notsure:

Luckily, I caught this and the company is paying. I have to drive to a shop at 1, but on them. Your right about dent was my first thought because where they park but that's older.

I'd suggest having your windows tinted. If for nothing else than to keep the glass from getting everywhere if it happens again.

Obviously this is just a run of bad luck and all I can do is vent and hope it changes. Funny thing, I was planning on meeting "Mr Sparkle" here on Long Island today about doing Opti-coat on my truck at some point. I'm going to wait I think !

It's time for a class action lawsuit!

    No troubles here.

I blasted my Ram's rear window with a rock out of the push mower. It sounded like a gun shot and my driver side rear window exploded.

The only thing I can think of on the glass is maybe the frame is a little off on the door, and the glass is under tension. As far as the mystery dent, I got one on the same side right about where the R is on TRD when my truck was pretty new. Looked about the same size as yours, didn't even break the paint.

Looks like paintless dent repair could pop that dent out.

Damn you don't even know how that dent appeared... it's a decent size. On my 10' I had a mystery dent appear in a similar area on my truck along with a shoe print that could be seen when looking at it from the right angle. I had recently canned someone at work so had my suspicions but couldn't be sure. It did make my blood boil a bit though.

My friends son shot my rear window out with a BB gun. He was standing next to it, gun in hand, saying "it wasn't me". 2 month old truck. Got in my truck after work a month ago to discover my windshield was cracked on the drivers side, don't know how that happened. Still haven't replaced it. Shit happens. My plumber has a tundra and has replaced his windshield twice in 4 years, glass shop said tundras where susceptible to rocks.

On that dent, you could try the hair dryer/can of air trick. I think it would pull most of that out...
