I grew up racing at Sunol BMX in NorCal. I believed I just had made it to expert before age 12. Intermediate for sure. I used to ride a Robinson Rebel with a 3 piece crank and Shimano DX clips....

I want that bike. It was so fun to ride.

Serious question--- would anyone ever be in the market for 20" spokes like that? Like carbon fiber "spin" like style? I am seriously thinking of having a prototype made? My company HQ is in Beijing and I have made great connections over there business wise. They still sell for like 500 a piece on eBay.

They only make cheap heavy plastic versions like those but worse now. Thoughts?? lol

My brother had a Hutch truckstar in futuristic black. He had hooked up with ACS wheels He picked out all the parts and built it up. His friend borrowed it and that was the last he saw it. Friend said it was a stolen.

I sold a couple back in the day I hate myself for, had a Hutch Wind Styler frame/fork I bought at auction and did up with what I had around. My Diamond Back Mike Dominguez Strike Zone is the worst though, still kick myself.

I'm curious what Skyway he has, they're all worth bucks from those years but a Street Beat is still on my bucket list. Actually have the Skyway Spinmaster in my parts box.

My dream bike as well. A Pro Racer though. My Profile sufficed as Hutchinson made Profile in the early days

    I'll bet it's the T/A then. Even the frame/fork I think run around a G now.

I almost bought an Expert that was built up for my race bike, ended up with a Mongoose Supergoose.

Solid choice. My faves were Hutch, CW, and Cook Bros.

I caught a glance of a Haro in my buddies garage today. I’ll ask him about it but he probably wouldn’t know if it went missing. I’m just not that guy

CW would be another dream one for me

    Can always borrow it haha

I liked those but the Street Beat would be my first choice of Skyways

Had a friend that collects older BMX stuff & bikes, drop this off recently. Just a frame & in pretty rough shape, but a Vintage Yamaha Moto Ride.

Looks like someone sprayed blue over the original yellow.

Oh man I had one of those! 120 lbs it must have been? Literally rode that thing off the back of flatbed trucks. Good luck restoring it.

This thread has been a walk down memory lane. Raced back in the early 80s, East Coast NBL. I need to dig around and see if I can find any pictures from back in the day. My main ride for most of my racing was a Robinson Pro, either '80 or '81... Ukai alloy rims with Suntour hubs... Ashtabula 1 piece chromolly cranks... Hadley sealed bottom bracket... SR platforms... ACS bars... one of the 1st gen ACS Stoker stems... Kashimax Aero saddle. I transferred just about all the parts to an '84 GHP Pro Long (I'd had a growth spurt, and the Long ended up being a better fit for me).

I sold the Robinson frame and fork a couple of years ago - guy at the shop I was getting a Trek 8.4 DS from was a collector and made me a good offer. The fully assembled GHP was passed along to my nephew around the same time, so at least it's still in the family.

You'd fall over if you look up the worth on the GHP now..

Nephew just turned 16 a few months ago and has his permit now... maybe I need to reacquire it once he gets his license.
