Love my '16 TRD sport 6MT- it recently has gotten hotter here in Myrtle Beach and along with it my clutch pedal has began squeaking- it is super annoying.

Found some info on an 05-06 TSB here- https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/squeaky-clutch-pedal.12837/

I have tried spray silicon and lithium grease up in the clutch spring area (where it sounds like it is coming from) to no avail.

Anyone else having this issue? Thanks.

yes, i judge the temperature outside by how loud the clutch pedal groans at me. No squeak, cool outside, truck cold, engine cold. Faint squeak, nice out. Medium groan, warm, and 1850's wooden floorboard creak woah nelly its hot out turn on the AC.

Yep. Doesn't bother me, but then I've been driving trucks for 40 years.

they still using that goofy torsion spring they used in the 1st gens? If so, best fix was a linear spring the 4 bangers used, just have to find out if it has the anchor point up in the dash.

I had it, and sprayed pivot points/spring like you did. I was missing one spot though, where the top end of the spring rotates (red circle?):

So far, so good... the squeak/creak/groan has not come back!

I had the "free" toyota service until it hit 25k and I just moaned and groaned about it. After that I never heard that sound again. Helps to take advantage of all of that service stuff. Now, I have to do all of the work from here on out.

Thanks for this info! I had been greasing the actual cylinder plunger thing with very little success. I sprayed some kroil on the part you circled, as well as the other spring seat bushing. Mostly went away after a day of working its way in, then i hit it with some super lube thicker grease. Moves like a champ now. We'll see how long it lasts between applications but for now that headache has disappeared.

    Thanks again!

Driving a 2011 2wd and mine has always squeaked. I was going to go looking for the source at one point but just never got around to it.

Use Disc Brake Grease on all the pivot points and it will take care of the problem.

Dealer replaced my whole clutch pedal and master assembly last summer, as mine sounded like a haunted house door. So far so good this summer, we'll see.
Tech found a TSB for 2017's, and Toyota agreed to cover it on my 2018.

My solution was to put a dab of disc brake grease in the plunger cup where the rod engages.

Used a cotton swab to make sure the grease was in the cup completely. Have not had an issue over 5k miles ago ... it sounded like a 250k truck with only 10k miles.
