Anyone considered running white wheels (or currently doing so)?

So growing up in the late 70s and 80s - it seemed like offroad style was all about technicolors and white wheels, etc.

    I love that look.

Fast forward to 2019 - and it's all about black wheels, gunmetals, matte, bronze, etc.

Anyone considered the high contrast look of white wheels? I personally love that look.

I think it looks good when you color match the white wheels to the rollbars and brushguards as well - if you're gonna do it, go all out.

I couldn't find much if anything even on google.

I realize the maintenance is there from a cleaning perspective and brake dust but with products like Poorboys wheel sealant and cleaners like Sonax - it's much easier than people think.

Looked good back then, but I cant see it looking as good on a modern offroad truck. Just my opinion tho.

I dig, I've been doing some photoshopping on my truck to see how I like it. It certainly won't be easy to pull off but we'll see. I'm keeping my mind open :) Sometimes you have to step out onto the island and stay there for a while and before you know it, everyone is doing it.

Those do look pretty good but I like the black and red combination. So I put black rims on my Barcelona taco.

Maybe on the right truck. I don't particularly like it, even back then.

Definitely have to go letters out on a vintage wheel like that.

The 16" TRD Pro wheels might make excellent modern white wagon wheels. Too bad the spokes are not solid.

I like them! These are first gen Tundra wheels. I color matched them to the truck then did a set for the camper also

I was thinking, a white SCS Stealth 6 with a machined lip might look good and achieve that classic look.

I had thought about getting some white FN Five Stars before I found out about SCS wheels.
