I've seen the hilux/80's pickup body for quite some time, but never a Taco, esp a doublecab.

I have a tube chassis rock crawler I built, otherwise I'd jump on it. Might have to, anyway... lol

I was thinking the same thing about getting back in. I do have to try and match the old man brown on my truck, but a "mini me" does sound awesome.

I have a TF2 that I've been building on and off for about two years. It's a shelf queen, building a scale crawler is a huge money suck.

If they come out with this body in hard plastic I'd be a player. It's just not realistic looking enough.

Between the various helis, planes, gliders, crawler, along with all my other expensive non-R/C stuff in my garage (motorcycle, tacoma...), this would be a hard sell for the wife..

But I find myself thinking "would she divorce me over this, or just make me sleep on the couch for a week?"

    hmmmmmm......

So... I started looking into those crawler chassis. Most can be had with the 12.3" wheelbase. (or can be adjusted to it) The problem seems to be the width. They are VERY wide as compared to this body. I'm sure it would look good and perform well, but too wide for a scale build.

    Must do more research.
