I’m wanting to buy a aftermarket front skid plate for my desert design honey badger front bumper . It looks like the rci and honey badger use the same front two bolts to mount and wonder if lip will keep me from installing skid plate . Anybody installed a skid plate besides a trd skid plate on one ?

Hey I have the same setup but haven't received my skids yet. Did you ever go with the bumper and get it installed because I'm worried about the same thing. I'm pretty sure if I take the bumper off then install skids I'll be able to slide bumper over skids to get it back on but not 100% sure.

Just installed the Honeybadger Front and Rear bumper on my 2016. Reused factory skid plate for now while evaluating other possibilities. Had to cut down the lip on each front end approx 2 inches and a length of 8 inches to fit well enough. Actually does not look too bad for now. Haven't decided yet what over skids to consider. Also considering some fabrication on the sides as the Honeybadger exposes some framing which leaves a bit of an unfinished look which might be improved. Overall - very happy with the change.
