Are they reliable? I’m wondering if I would be better off going on my own, but I really don’t want to go through the hassle.

Thinking about selling my wife’s beautiful 2014 RAV4. It’s a cherry, loaded, limited AWD with only 36K original miles. I’m thinking with the condition and history and the way used car prices are going I should be able to get a mint for it but who knows? Carvana offered me $20,125. Does that sound like a fair price for those of you in the know?

There are a few Carvana threads here.

The problem with selling high comes if you need a replacement vehicle, which will be overpriced too.

If you dont need a replacement, selling may be a good thing.

I paid about $19k for my FWD Limited RAV 2 years ago @46k mi.

So your offer seems reasonable, but not dance on the moon generous.

I’m not planning on trading. Just selling it outright.

I've purchased from Carvana and it was painless. My friend recently sold his car to them and it was also painless. They sent a tow truck and a check, that was it.

    I'd try vroom.com to sell.

They came in about $4,000 more than Carvana on both my 2017 4Runner and my 2019 4Runner when I was looking to sell one or the other just a few weeks ago (33,xxx and 42,xxx, respectively).

You get an offer good for 7 days or 250 miles, and it appears that they pick it up within 15 days of buying it. You don't get paid for a few more days after that, via a Fed-Ex'd check.

Carvana, in addition to offering a lot less, I would have had to drive the truck about 200 miles to their nearest whatever (office?) because they don't service rural northern California, at least not buying cars.

Wish I had a place to park 3-4.

When gas is back at $5-6 and folks realize they dont need whatever 20mpg wheels they are making payments on the demand for econo boxes will return.

Bought my '18 brand new off the lot, sold it 2 years later for $12k less than I bought it. Did most of the application online. They sent out a guy in a Prius to verify that everything I told them was true, gave me the check then and there. Sent out a rollback wrecker to transport it the next day.

All in all, very painless. 5/7 would use again.

Yup, check Vroom. They offered $10K more than Carvana for my 2019 F250.

Tried them. They came in at a little over $18K. Carvana kicked their ass.

Be sure and get a quote from driveway.com before you sell. Avoid VROOM.

    Hairless ape simply means human.

It's cute that you think you're clever, but in reality you watch too much TV. The Sopranos is not NJ, and neither is jersey shore (bunch of douche bags from Long Island...aka NY). You go ahead and keep slurping down those NYC based media fantasies though.

When you post a thread for a topic that's covered to death in multiple threads, don't get salty when you get sarcasm in response. Take your lumps like a grown-up, instead of deflecting like a child.

You might find info about selling RAV4's on the RAV4 forums, we don't give a fuck about them here.

I sold my Subaru through Carvana and it was ridiculously easy. Got 2 grand more than I expected at the time. I'd use them again to sell but have no experience buying from them.
