I am lucky enough to live in the Midwest and Denver is about 6 hours from me :) anybody ever been to this place? Seems promising for axles, body panels, engines etc. Would be cool to go check out as I am looking to re-gear. Nothing super fancy - OEM 430 stuff would be great.

Try car-part.com, not to be confused with carpart.com...

No idea if these guys post on there. Not sure they deliver or anything, but they at leas list the parts.

If you're in Denver you can also check out Yota Jims.

Interesting guy, as you might expect from a junk yard owner, but has anything you need for a 1st gen.

Why can't I find a place like these in North Carolina. I've called every junkyard within 50 miles of me, and not one has any Tacoma's.

Is this the same Jim that used to own the Yota yard, before the gold digger stole it out from under him. If so, I’d definitely try him first. Jim is the real deal, I installed siding on his cabin many moons ago, before I became a Texan. The chick who owns the Yota Yard, owes her success to screwing over her ex husband.

I remember my buddy buying an alternator from Jim. He asked “ how do I know it works?” Jim said, “take another one Just in case”. GREAT guy.

Look at LKQ pull your own, you can set up notifications and they get tacomas in from time to time. I go to the Charlotte, Greer SC and Greenville SC yards from time to time

@Kerby J ; @Blue92, Thanks for the info on the parts places, it's not that I am in dire need of anything right now, since I'm recovering from back surgery. It's just know that If something comes up, I won't have to look out of state and pay shipping charges. but for instance, I was thinking about maybe sprucing it up a bit, maybe replace the grey(lunar Mist) driver and passenger side door panels if their really nice looking. and I would really like to replace my auto transmission shifter knob. Later this year after I've healed up a bit, I'll check these places out.

Expand your search down to Georgia. Then you can have a 200 mile radius with no junkyard with parts.

I've gone to yota jims to get a dipstick for my first gen, got a sticker from there too (there pretty bad ass so if you go id suggest getting one) Hes got the hole nine yards of Toyota parts hes got mostly first gen and pre first gen trucks. I go to him as I live in commerce city and hes pretty close. Even if you find your part his yard is fun to walk around and see what he has to offer.
