Getting ready to install the AVS In Channel Rain Guards. Besides washing the truck and wiping down with alcohol pad where the tape goes, any tips or tricks to installing these. Thanks in advance!

Easy install, roll the window down, wipe the seal out with supplied alcohol wipes, push the shade into the channel and roll the window up. I let mine sit for a day or two before I rolled the windows down or washed it but 5k miles later I have had no issues with mine. one thing I would recommend is before install, hit the edges of the shades with a red scuff pad or some 2k grit sand paper just to take the jagged edges off. When I did these on an old vehicle of mine, I didn't sand the edges down and got an awesome cut on my hand from the sharp edge. dont sand the whole thing obviously just run it along the edges to knock them down

I went with Weather Tech so I can't give you specific advice. Just make sure you clean the channels well and then let them sit for a day or so after install before operating the windows too much (I just tested mine once after install). Perhaps let the truck sit in the sun if possible after install.

Following the instructions worked for me with my WeatherTechs.

Clean the channel very good with the scrub pad and alcohol. Test fit before peeling the tape to be certain. If you really want them to stick good - I found that warming the channel and the tape with a hair dryer does very nice. The instructions wants the window left up for 72 hours. They really work great. Good choice !!

We’ll crap! Was going to install them but they came scratched cause they shrinked wrap them with no protection between the pieces and one is broke. Guess I’ll have to send them back and get another set coming. Anybody else have this problem, I got them off Amazon.

I had the Weathertechs on my 2019 & easily transferred them to my 2021.

I recall purchasing my set via PepBoys as I have a store real close to me. Check the web for AutoZone or Advance also. At least Amazon is real good at returns.

I finally got around to installing a set of AVS in channels the other day. Super quick and easy! I just made sure to clean window channel thoroughly prior to putting them in place. Left the windows up for a day or so to really lock them in place and they’re still holding strong.

There was a run of them a while back that members were saying were scratched, chipped, and some completely broken. I ordered the matte black in Channel and mine were good to go. I traded in the truck and didn’t want to hassle the take off. Going to order another set as well.

I just followed the instruction as others have said and I didn’t have any problems.
