Ordered a bumper back in Nov 23rd 2022. Still have yet to receive the bumper and he has excuses every single week as to why it hasn't shipped.

It arrived. Guess all I had to do was add a forum post. I wouldn't suggest this shop if you're not local. Let's just say its been shipping for 6 months according to him, meanwhile his Instagram is full of other projects getting done daily and bumper orders being fulfilled. If there are any doubters I have multiple months of text messages saying shipping etc. Also said for my patience I would get shirt / rear bumper etc. Nope didn't arrive just the bumper (oh well). He asked if I wanted Valance mounted, I said yes. It arrived not mounted. It is a nice product but over all experience was horrible. lets see if it fits now.

I went to install and nothing lines up. The product looks nice but... The bolt holes on the mounting plate are 1/4" off. The mounting plates need to be cut off and rewelded on the tube to match. He said just use a step bit to make it fit, If I were to do that then the outside edges of the plate would be cut all the way out of the plate making it a slot, not a hole. Additionally, the bumper sits about 10" away from grill. I need to fully mount it to get accurate measurements but you can see from pic that even with 1" or 2" mounted properly its really far away from the front of the grill. From the original pics, it doesn't look that far away. Long story longer, don't order from this shop unless you have the ability to go there. He offered me $100 back for my trouble which is not really going to help considering im going to have to chop it up to make it fit right. I understand having a shop and being a 1 man show which I think he is, but QC is part of selling products. I'm having a local friend whos a welder help me fix this. I'll keep this updated.

Dang. Well, the welds look nice. But pretty welds don’t mean shi* if it doesn’t fit.

It sucks, I have 4 options that I can see.
Get refunded the cost to repair locally (unlikely to happen given what's happened so far and he only offered 100 bucks for my troubles)
Send the bumper back for a refund ( I do not want to do this since I don't want to wait another 6 months)
Contact my CC company and show my issues to get a refund for a product that isnt what it is described as
Just eat it and move on with repairing locally.

Would suck to get rid of some powdercoat on the mount but cutting it off and rewelding it would introduce even more heat to the already welded tube.

Best to plug weld the already drilled hole, hit it with a flap disc until smooth, then drill the correct size hole in the correct spot.

    Rattle can said work.

Yeah, I've received bumpers, sliders, and a leaf pack that same way.

    You in Central CA?

Doing what I mentioned wouldn't take long at all.

It doesn't line up to do that unfortunately, Other wise would be done already. The outside bolt would be on the edge of the plate if I make it even on the frame

Nope In San Diego, hence my major dilemma, would have been at his shop if it wasn't 5 hours away.
