Any dorm style mini fridge should work, they only pull 85-100 watts.

But, as Screaminpotato said, A cooler full of ice would be better.

max available is 100 watts driving and 450 at parked idle.. should be able to run an ARB fridge without issue.. problem is how often you are in and out of the cooler when the truck is parked.. it'll get warm fast unless you have frozen/dense packed items in there to hold the cool.

I used to have an Igloo electric cooler way back when I had a Subaru -- as they say it was "more than a cooler but not quite a fridge." We used to put ice in it but it was helpful to know that we could plug it into the rear outlet and keep things relatively cool. I see Coleman makes one. We used to use ours on long road trips. Worked pretty well. Might be helpful:

these only work at about a 20-30 degree difference from ambient temperatures.. meaning outside its 90 it'll only cool to 60... not good for food that spoils.

Yep. Def not on the same lines as an ARB or Dometic.

You are totally right about that. We used to fill ours with ice and in the car it never got that hot so the ice and the plug-in helped. Not bad for short periods of time, though. But you are right -- not a substitute for a fridge. If we were doing light car camping and mixing in hotel stays they worked pretty well.

Would be pretty easy to run some wire back there from your battery to a 12v Port.

EDIT: then you could run an ARB or Dometic. They sip power.

I have CSI 52 hardwired to my battery and it runs 24/7 without issue. It's hooked up to a Blue Sea panel bolted into the bed.

Where I wheel the fridge would have to be bolted down or fly all over the place. It’s not a mobile home....lol
