    Wow, smokin deal.

8 months and it's still good as new. Love this cover.

I have had no issues at all with it, but do miss the convenience of being able to take the tonneau off in a minute when needed. This was my third Xtang tonneau and I am hoping that it holds up as well as my previous models did.

Do you have a long box? I don't recall having any issues with alinement when installing mine on a SB. Here are a few shots from different angles installed.

If possible do you have a pic from the back of the truck with the tailgate down? Looking at one side of the rails? Thanks again

I seem to have the exact same issue. The cover needs 52.5” between the rails and I measured 52 1/8” between mine. There must be some sort of a bed variance everything else was fine minus the end mounting point

Hey all, sorry to necro an old forum but I am having one heck of a time with my Xceed leaking! I am going nuts on it and am looking for any suggestions. I did just call Xteng to get bulkhead seals (though the install didn't call for them). The leaking is mostly around the bulkhead and is soaking everything I have against the bulkhead.

No, not too much success. I found the cover was leaking also from the cross bracing. I ended up contacting them under warranty and they sent me a whole new cover (hardware and all).

Warranty process was painless and fast. I plan to install the new one in a week or so. I also have additional seals so I plan to install those as well.

Any owner of the Xceed can comment on the height clearance between bed floor and cover when closed? Do you keep the 19.1 inches or you loose some height?

    Cheers

Hey, so no - you don't keep the 19.1" when closed. Due to the cross-bracing you lose about 1.5"-2". Between the cross-bracing you still maintain pretty close to 19".

I have had this issue with my Lifetime 55 Qt cooler. The cooler is 17.3" tall and it barely fits under the edge of the cross-bracing. I have to position it just right. Thankfully, I am able to fit it in with the cover closed.

Look at Interbeing's post from October 2020 - you will see a crossbar on the cover. That bar houses the mechanics for the lock and cable for opening. That bar dips down into the storage area which reduces the clearance. I can measure it later on if you'd like.

Thank you, this is what I feared. I wanted to use a 18.1 inches tall box as a too box at the back. Since it's 20 inches depth as well, pretty sure it will interfere with the cross bracing. Still have to look for the right cover. I want hard top, complete access cab and the ability to maintain the bed height.

Here is my update. Taking in the actual clear space between the crossbar and the top of the ridge on the bed liner you have 17-1/8" clear. See the photos attached.

Ya, even after installing my cover again post warranty claim - the thing is back to leaking. I swear it just seems like I have to lay down a bead of silicone along the length of the rails to make sure it is sealed. I have put all sorts of gasket material at the edges and tried to put silicone at the bulkhead, but dear god - water will find its way.

    Damn, that is disappointing.

Aside from this, it's been great. Fortunately I only keep a weather-tight storage box in the bed. But IF I wanted to keep some stuff very dry in there, well, not so easy anymore.

Do not buy the vinyl three fold! It fell apart in less then two years and Extang will not warranty it. Looks great at first but is JUNK!
