I purchased the Weathertech HP liners and the Husky X-act Contour liners. In the end I kept the Husky.
Here is why. The Weathertech HP liners are nice liners, with a softer rubber than the regular Weathertech liners, and also newer generation. While the fit was good, the holes for the OEM fasteners were not. The holes on these liners are wider apart. Meaning you need to somehow drill new holes, which isn't possible, because you would probably interfere with the old ones making a huge mess in the carpet.

On the other hand, I tried the Husky X-act Contour, and the fit and finish was immaculate. Also, the rubber much softer. So in the end I kept the Huskies. The Weathertech are going back. This is so you know what to expect in terms of real world fit and finish

That's a pity, I really like the Weathertech design with the molded-in "wings" that go well up both sides of the floor carpeting. I'm afraid that very muddy boots are going to track mud onto those parts of the carpet with the Husky design.

I wonder if it's worth contacting Weathertech to ask about the discrepancy w/ the hole placement.

I have the Weathertech HP's in my Tacoma and they were a perfect fit. Something is wrong with your set.

I have/had both and for me hands down the Husky wins. The WT's curled on the sides over time, stained and do not go as high in the front so stuff off your boots falls down on the carpet and runs under the mat. The Husky is soft and holds its shape and protects the carpet better. And they are less $$.

The new Weathertech HP's are soft and much thicker and solve all those issues. I've had original Weathertech's since they started their business and I never had issues with the originals but the HP's are better than the Husky liners IMHO and definitely better than OG Weathertechs.

I’ve had both in several vehicles. I like the Husky liners I have in my Tacoma, though I wish they had more of a lip on them.

Same experience for me. I’ve had both in a Tacoma and a 4runner. I’ll choose the Huskeys every time now.

The new HP's or the originals? The HP's are pretty new and nothing like the original Weathertech floor liners.

I went with Husky x-act fit after hating the way the stiff plastic of our older weathertechs curled and let dirt under the mats.

Given the option of a newer rubber compound weathertech, I might have tried them out... but they weren't avaliable at the time I was shopping around.

Our first set of weathertech many years earlier never curled, I wonder if they switched to a worse material at some point in their production.

The last pre-HP Weathertechs I bought were in 2014. Had 3 sets before those and none of them curled. As I purchase a new vehicle I hand the old set down to someone I know who could use them and I'm not aware of any of them having issues. When I was at their factory store last time I talked to them about the bed mat (which is like the old floor liner material) and they are currently upgrading them all to the new HP (possibly even thicker) material.

Husky makes great floor liners too. I have nothing negative to say about them. The Weathertech HP's are comparable in material and worth checking out.

Check out 3D Maxpider mats. They are my favorite, have had many pairs of weathertech and husky’s and these are easier to clean and look better.
