My intention is to get booster cables with Anderson plug quick disconnect but I'd like to use that adapter for basically anything else that I could power that way. It'll be 1awg and 175a gray adapter. My question is, can I use that size adapter with smaller awg? My compressor obviously doesn't have that awg but i'd like to use just the one input for everything.

Alternately, can I just piggyback a smaller plug to the larger one so I have 2 sizes using the same wiring back to the battery?

I just make up a cable using 30 amp Anderson’s and mount it in my grill and run direct to the battery. Once that is in place I can plug a 20 to 30 foot extension in and power anything I want when I’m out camping. Once you start using Anderson connectors you’ll end up putting them on everything.

I have a large Anderson plug wired directly to my battery that I plug jumper cables into.
