    Morning everyone,

I hope someone can help. I have the Amp Research Power Steps installed on my 2nd Gen Access Cab for about 4yrs and I'm starting to have issues.

Driver side: When the door is opened the lights for the step turn on but the step doesn't extend. You can clearly hear the motor running because it makes a loud buzzing sound, but the step stays in the up position.

Passenger Side: The step will stay in the extended position almost all the time. Every once in a while it will retract but only to extend at some random time. When the The door is closed you can hear the step trying to retract but again it random when it does. lights for the step are always on and my door ajar light.

I talked to Amp and their tech basically said to throw parts at it and it should work. I'd like to try all options before I have to buy a new parts for these steps. Has anyone had any issues and/or fixed them? Thanks for your time guys.

Without every seeing these do you have any schematics on drawings you can post ?

Without knowing just what you have in front of you hard call to make.
