American Racing Wheels?

I saw a set of American Racing wheels that I really liked, but wanted ya'll opinion on the brand.

Are they reliable? Good quality?

I got 16x8 with +00 offset

 

I just got some AR202's 16x8 0 offset 4.5" backspacing.
I love the look. I ran em through the mud once and they're scratched to hell - but it's a trail rig so i don't care much. So far so good

 

Those are sexy! I got the AR201 in bronze. Can’t beat them for the price ‍♀️

Do you have any “poke” in yours?

 

Never owned a set, but they've been around as long as I have.

 

They're owned/produced by the largest wheel manufacturer in the U.S. And as stated, they've been around since the dawn of the fist age.

They poke out almost exactly as much as my sliders.
I had to clear the larger SPC UCA, so i needed the backspacing

Any further Update about how those wheels are holding up? Look awesome. Those are the exact ones I want but was a little leery because I don’t see too many people running American racing.

they’re still on backorder - hopefully they should be arriving this week! if they do, I’m mounting them this weekend. my stock steelies NEED TO GOOO!

 

American racing rims are awesome had them on my last vehicle . Never had any issues with them look great and they are solid rims .

 

I’m glad that I chose these. I was hesitant because I never heard of this brand. but I’m so happy with my choice! can’t wait to mount them.

 

I might have 1000 miles on them - so far so good. The black lip scratches really easy... I had a long night ride in deep mud and they got pretty scratched up... but it is what it is!

 

Why does everybody like Methods and Volks so much on Tacomaworld? Is there a real benefit?

Oh nice. I got the same wheels 16x8 and 265/70/16 tires. You got a lift on the truck ?

 

These are the AR Ansen 969 wheels I've had for about 5 years now. They've held up well through MN winters. Will replace soon because I don't like the beadlock look anymore.
