I just purchased a set of 16x8 outlaw 2’s that I plan to paint black. I have yet to test fit them but will let you know when I do. I’ve heard nothing but good things except some find the style outdated. I think when there black they will make a nice military look wheel

Yeah I have had my eye on them for a while now. They would look pretty sweet on the Tacoma wrapped with some Nittos.

I know how picky Tacoma's can be with after market wheels so I hesitate to get them.

Ok so I am on the fence about getting these wheels. Let me explain . A couple of year ago I had a set of the buckshot style with Hancock tires and had nothing but problems with vibrations. I had them rebalanced and even had them road force balanced. So I ended up going back to stock. Now I am wandering if it was the tires, the truck not liking after market wheels or they just didn't know how to balance them. I hear good things about these wheels. So not sure what to think or do?... Any advice?

Honestly I just bought these because it was the day after I bought my truck used, and it had these huge ugly 20'' chrome wheels. So I walked into a discount tire and picked out some of the cheapest wheels that I thought looked ok. I have been very happy with them for the price.

Seems alot of people that have been around Toyotas a while seem to prefer SCS wheels. FWIW

Also regarding your vibes, this thread might be of interest to you:

Im having a slight vibration above 80mph... but Im also LT and my alignment is probably not perfect so I have just been dragging my feet on diagnosing, but I have a feeling it could be due to the wheels not being hub centric.

Needed new rubber and found out my drivers rear wheel had cracked in three different places. Old wheels were MB and did me 100k+
