Just purchased my first Tacoma and it has aftermarket aluminum rims. I know what the manual calls for the torque specs for the factory wheels, but how do the specs differ for aluminum wheels?

Also, I have read where it is recommended to re-torque your aluminum wheels after 1000 miles. Is this for EVERY 1000 miles, or just the "first" 1K miles after mounting them for any reason? (Repairs, rotation...)

    Thanks in advanced!

Stick to Toyota's torque specs and you'll be safe and sound. Re-check them after 100 miles or so just to be safe and you should be good to go until the next time to take them off. Routinely checking them every so often can only benefit you.
