Looking at replacing the ugly plastic coolant overflow tank with a nice shiny aluminum one. Has anyone done this already? All the ones seem to have barb fittings on the bottom of the tank where the stock one has the line going in and out from the top. Wasn't sure if there was a special one I needed to get. This is what I'm finding...

It's important to distinguish the difference between a coolant overflow (catch) tank and a coolant recovery tank. The former is primarily there for catching excess coolant which isn't drawn back into the cooling system. A recovery tank relies on vacuum to draw coolant back into the system when it cools.
