    hello,

I am looking at installing the above mentioned amp in my tacoma access cab. I have some alpine components speakers installed (4 front) and the factory headliner speakers installed to the rear. Can i just connect the front components and leave the rear wiring alone? Those rear speakers are useless.

    Thanks!

A few mods here and there and counting....
I used to have this pack installed. Worked great. Tip: I installed mine above the glove box behind the removable panel trim. Fits perfectly up there with some double sided mounting tape.

I am looking this over and cant seem to figure it out. What do I do with the yellow and black wires coming from the alpine amp? Do I splice them with the HU harness or the vehicle side? What do I do with the unused wires coming off the HU harness? Confused.

    Thanks

Im trying to go for a 2 channel setup to livin up the front. For the life of me I cant figure out what to do with Acc, constant, and ground wires coming off the H/U and the factory/speaker side. I got a constant and ground coming off the amp and am not sure where they go?? Im trying to prevent running the constant to the battery as others havent had to. Any thoughts??

I mounted mine couple years back but basically amp power and ground not hooked up to HU. Your HU speakers wires go to amp input then output from amp go to speakers . Forgot were I powering amp but power from battery or source that turns on when key on in accessory for amp power and ground to good chassis ground ( need 15 amp fuse at amp power )
Also mounted amp under shift console . Easy to access

i would wire it into the stereo harness. black for ground. and i believe gray is the ignition switch controlled. i'd use that one. blue/yellow is constant one which is used for stereo memory.

Great little amp! I tried to avoid having to run power from the battery and wanted to power from the stock HU. The manual says it can be done, but the fuse's amp rating didn't match up, so I bit the bullet and ran a battery wire. I also tried the above the glovebox install method. That proved to be a bit flimsy for me. Eventually I finished the project and I went to mounting everything under both seats (amp, LOC, sub)

    Battery powers the LOC

    LOC relay powers the Alpine

    Alpine relay powers the sub.

    Works great so far.
