Anyone (and I know you are out there) have this head unit installed? I am considering pulling the trigger.

Gotta be some opinions out there...I was also looking at the Stinger-Offroad Heigh-10 unit.

It sounds really good. I had the JBL system before. I installed the OEM Audio + system in my truck previously which came with replacements for all of the speakers, a wiring harness, amps, and a replacement subwoofer.

    Nice!

If you have to replace the microphone, this one snaps right into the overhead console.

    https://shop.enfigcarstereo.com/product/enfig-mic-toy1/

There is plenty of wiring, such that you can leave enough slack to bring the overhead console down onto to the dash, if you need to remove the mic to work on the overhead console outside the truck (like adding buttons).

I would like to see pictures of it installed. And from different angles. I just can’t tell if I would like the floating style.

Just installed this in my wife’s 2016 4runner. Bought the setup from Trailgrid. I would recommend getting the parking break bypass. Such a pain in the ass not to adjust the audio with activating the parking break twice.

I bought the bypass but I didn’t install it yet. Do you remember which wire is the parking brake wire on the Alpine?

I do not as I have not installed the bypass yet. Had no idea Alpine had to have the parking brake engaged to adjust audio settings. I get not being able to access some of the screens but audio?

I found the answer so I thought I’d post it for anyone else wondering.

“The wires are color coded for all Alpine models. The black wire goes to the Alpine black wire (ground). The blue/white wire goes to the Alpine blue/white wire (remote turn on or power), The yellow/blue wire goes to the Alpine yellow/bluewire (parking brake sensor).”

That looks great. Did you get it from trail grid pro?

No. My old head unit (Kenwood) took a dump. The shop that installed it warrantied the labor and installed this one for me. Besides the HUGE screen, I love the wireless connection.
