Hello and thanks for any info. I installed an alpine ilx-507 and wanted to try the HDMI port. I installed and adapter port with an HDMI input and audio/USB input and tried it out. I have an apple lighting to HDMI adapter, when I try it out the screen mirroring works fine. When I try to play a video though it’ll always go to the home screen. I’ll hear the audio, but I can’t see any video playing. I don’t have anything else to really test it with to see if it’s an iPhone issue or a head unit issue, but has anyone had this issue before or know what I could try?

    A few things to try
    Is the parking brake engaged?
Is it non-streamable content? A lot of stuff has HDCP and won’t allow you to view it over hdmi

Thanks for the info, yeah parking break is on. I can’t get into the HDMI if it’s not engaged. I don’t think it’s not streamable stuff, I use YouTube and Disney to test it out. I know I can cast YouTube video to my Roku, and I think I can cast Disney also.
