I recently installed the AlphaRex LUXX taillights on my 2022 Tacoma and the fitment is off on the driver side. 66385061-0ED3-41C2-9A85-805B8158D470.jpg
    The passenger side fits great.846A0ACC-D8CF-41B7-8CA7-C131626C780F.jpg
Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix?

Pull it out again, make sure no wiring is obstructing anything and try again

There isn’t any wiring in the way, I’ve checked that multiple times. I’m going to pull it off this weekend and see what I can do. It’s driving me nuts haha

I have the same issue with both tail lights, I have contacted them to see what can be done about it because they should fit flush I feel like. Don't want water and snow to get in the gaps and ruin them

That’s kind of my feelings. I mean I know they aren’t waterproof by any means but I feel like that giant gap is gonna allow too much in there. Plus the look of it drives me crazy!

Alpharex website states that no matter who you ordered the lights through if they are new within 30 days you can exchange them if you aren't satisfied or there is an issue, I just emailed them to get an exchange set up because I'm not going to risk them getting ruined

What? The backside of the tail light cavity is completely open to the ground. That's like saying your headlights will be ruined because there's a gap between the hood and fender...

Mine did that after i pulled the taillights to connect my bed lights...the metal part where the push pin clips goes in got pulled out /bent ...take the light out and push it in being careful not to bend the bedside... if i remember right there was a metal one on top and a plastic clip on the bottom....the metal is so thin it bends the tabs when removing....i wouldnt sleep or eat till that was fixed

dude mine are the same.. I have a 23 tacoma.. I got the luxx tailights

driver side bottom clip isn't being clipped in all the way... passenger side is perfect.

I went to Toyota and purchased brand new clip housings where the twilight clips into.. and still the same shit.. must be a defect from Alpharex

I contacted alpharex today and so far I have sent them photos. I am waitigin on a response. I expect a replacement product

^Welcome to the world of aftermarket lights. Alpharex's plastic molds are probably off a bit, due to inaccuracies in the reverse-engineering process, so every LH tail light they produce will be the same.

    so it’s normal?

these aftermarket taillights r not cheap. They should be built to oem spec as far as fitment goes

it’s weird. Driver side has a gap. Passenger side has no gap at all. I’m starting to think maybe the side that has no gap is the bad side lol

^They did their best with the reverse-engineering lol. If you want to keep the Alpharex tail lights because you like the styling, best thing to do would be to bend the tabs in the bedside sheetmetal to pull the LH tail light inward a bit.

I was thinking of that.. I just did not want to break anything..

maybe when pulling the OEM tail light off, it got bend outwards..but I remember playing with it and its pretty stiff.. its not that easily bent.
