    @crashnburn80 Alpharex has 4 styles:
    Nova quad led projector
    Luxx led projector
    Luxx led reflector
    Pro halogen projector

I'm guessing your post was referring to the last two? Any info on their led projectors?
Love the Alpharex look but definitely don't want worse than stock performance.

    Thanks

Actually was also covering their quad projector. If you care about performance, avoid AlphaRex. Their products blow out foreground light and reduce distance light, while that looks brighter from the driver seat, that isn't an upgrade it is a downgrade.

And AlphaRex does not make the lights. They resell them from here out of China.

Its hard to believe any of these would be a downgrade over the eBay lights on my 2011. And made in China doesn't really matter to me. Of course I'd prefer locally made but that is not an option.

I'm curious about the quad projector alpharex, seems like the best available option. Does anyone have first hand experience with these?

@crashnburn80 what is your recommendation for a 05-11 2ng gen light?

Would love to get gen 2.5 2012-15 lights and hood and grill etc, but that's too much.

I like the look of the Alpharex Luxx LED crystal lens, but the Nova quad projector performs best.

I guess oem lens retrofit is your preference?

The Nova quad projector pattern is completely backward, huge amounts of foreground light and massive loss of distance light. You couldn't design a worse headlight if you tried, it is not the 'best'. It is a cheap Chinese product relabeled and upsold for domestic sale at an undeserved premium catering to people that don't know better.

This is the correct plug and play solution for 2nd Gen:

If you wanted to go retro, then use OEM quality parts such as Lexus RX350 projectors, OEM grade ballasts by Hella/Denso or others, and then run the worlds best D2S bulbs by Philips or Osram in the +150 to +200 category.
See post #5165. Update to that coming soon comparing the best D2S bulbs and using OEM Denso ballasts. Just need to get the scheduling down with the retros owner.

The uphill battle to get people to realize what they should and shouldnt do with their headlights never ends, though.
