Hello Tacoma world. I am reaching out to y'all because the customer service from Alpharex has been worse than tech support from India. I have been trying to get them to help me since late October. After getting in touch with them, I would explain the hyperflash issue I'm having, then they say that the tech department will get in touch. After that they never reply to any of my emails unless I create a brand new email chain starting from scratch, where I have to explain what issue I'm having from the beginning. Then the same thing happens, they say the tech department will contact me but no one ever does.

After many emails and emailed ignored, I have no other choice but to reach out to all to professionals here on the forum.

I ordered the Alpharex Nova series headlights and their Pro tail lights and I get hyperflash on both headlights and both tail lights. Is there any way to fix this?

    Thank you in advance!

LED resistors at all lights. Auto parts stores should have them.

What kind would I need? 50W or 100W?

50 are fine. LEDs are no more than 10 per side.

FWIW, I installed the alpha rex Luxx LED headlights on my 2014 access cab. Had some issues at first with erratic behavior so I reached out to them via Instagram message. Much to my surprise they responded rather quickly and helped me resolve the issue. My problem was in the harness, I had to switch a couple of the pins around to get it resolved. They noted it was an issue in some of the earlier production runs of those headlights. I did not need to add any resistors to my wires. It has been working as expected ever since.

Looks like in my case the harness already came with an extension that fixes that problem. It moves the ground over for me.

Do you know how many watts and ohms the resisters are?

Resistors get pretty hot. I would check to see if you're melting plastic with it mounted there.

The same shit everyone else has.
I can’t believe people keep buying this Alpharex junk.

You would think there’d be zero issues with this stuff for what they charge.

I imagine a DD SmartTap CF18 will solve your problem WITHOUT the need for resistors. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it already. It fixed my LED hyperflash issue, AND gave me smart tap feature.

It only works on trucks without DRL’s

I know. You can very easily and cheaply disable the DRLs. That’s what I did. I have the spider track lights with LED bulbs and blinkers.

I find the easiest way to get in touch with them is through Instagram. They were better at responding there and very helpful. They shipped the pair of resistors to me free. I also have a pair of their headlights and taillights.

Fixed the hyperblink in the fronts. The Amber turn light does not come on at all even before fixing the hyperblink. They worked for the first month then stopped. Any ideas??

I just fixed my turn signal issue this last weekend. I had the fuse installed in an empty slot in the engine bay. I reinstalled it behind the coin tray in the first slot that has the 15Amp fuse. Now it all works. I also changed the DRL from white to amber but I dont know if that played a roll it in or not.

Thanks for the response. I think I'll try a new fuse location like you suggested. Alpharex had been no help and confirmed the wiring was correct. Can't help but feel something in the blinker portion of the headlight broke. So much so that Extreme Terrain is sending me a new pair of the Alpharex headlights at no cost (send the current ones back).

It worked!! New headlights installed and used the same fuse location. Good to go. Resistors worked so no more hyperblink either. Thanks for the help!

Picking this thread up. I have a 2011 with DRL and having the hyper flashing issue when I installed the Luxx headlights and no DRL.

I then installed the DRL harness and it corrected everything BUT the DRL's will not turn off when the truck is off.

I used the jumper provided to the 15amp slot behind the coin tray as previously posted too.

I sent them a message and will reach out on IG but wanted to see if anyone else had this issue.
