Looking for any opinions, reviews, installation info on the new ALPHAREX LED Projector Headlights

05-11 Toyota Tacoma NOVA-Series LED Projector Headlights Alpha-Black
    Design
We use the 2018+ Tundra TRD LED headlights design as the foundation to develop these Toyota Tacoma NOVA-series headlights, and we apply a LED tube as DRL around the projector. The Toyota Tacoma NOVA-series headlights come with activation light feature, which is a running light when you ignite your Toyota Tacoma, as well as white DRL light. At the side of these Toyota Tacoma NOVA-series headlights is the amber reflector lens, and there is an amber halogen light bulbs at the bottom for turn signal light. The NOVA-series are with quad projector design, and the four projectors light up for low beam, and we are using build-in LED at the center for high beam. The high power LED produces a 6000K light output and an outstanding projection.

Are you able to swap in HID’s or LED’s into the pro halogen version?

Finally a decent off the shelf option. Waiting to see the 12-15’s now.

Anybody know if they are going to make something like this for the 12-15s?

The beam pattern is completely awful. There is so much short range foreground light focus indicative of a very poorly designed headlight, and your photos are not the only one that show this significant flaw in the design. Compare to an OEM halogen upgrade which keeps the correct optics:

Interested to see how these hold up for moisture / leaks. $1000 is steep for me tho. Look sick.

They took extra care to ensure no moisture can enter. The build quality is outstanding

With no Tacoma specific instructions, it was a little difficult to figure out what connects to what. You have to remember to take the bulb sockets out of the plugs for your turn signal and parking light. Connecting the DRL connection was the same as the Tundra except the fuse. The fuse I was supposed to use was not clear. The fuse I used was for the fuel System turn on(N.6). It was a 10Amp fuse and turns on when the truck turns on. It works fine for now until I contact the vendor to find out the correct fuse I'm supposed to connect to. The weird thing about the fuel system turn on(N.6) fuse is that the truck does a test every 4 hours for about 1 minute which make the DRL turn on for that minute. I don't see it as being a problem. Also, using this fuse allowed me to close the lid of the fuse box. I believe the DRL fuse is in the cab and I was lazy and didn't want to run the wire through the firewall.

I was confused about what Fuse to use also, I'm not a fan of using any of the EFI spots so I have yet to install that harness.

Got word back from ALPHAREX and yes they are recommended the EFI fuse(N.6). I asked them if they might have a second option.

JR SLASH 33, post: 23910774, member: 331648I think I want the single projectors. I like these too but not 2x as much haha
note: I don't actually own these, they're just "photoshopped" on to compare styles

    Mucho respect @crashnburn80

I went from the old Spyder projector Headlights with an HID Retrofit, to the AlphaRex and I can tell you, from driving around town, that it is like night and day. From a practical standpoint, these light are very bright/clear and a definite upgrade to stock and other off-the-shelf options. Not to mention the quality. In my opinion, these are the first aftermarket headlights that are as good, if not better, than OEM.

Now I have not retrofitted my OEM lights with Morimoto projectors but I found some videos that compare Morimoto to AlphaRex and there respective technologies. Please compare for your self but it's pretty clear to me, that I made the right choice.
