I almost hate to ask, this is new to me stuff.
OEM wheels- both 16"- one with Bolt Pattern of 140mm, the other 139.7mm. This isn't a deal breaker, right? The .3mm diff.

It's rounded, its actually 6 x 5.5 inches. For some reason the only imperial on a car world wide is wheels.

Do you think swapping will work? Both 16" wheels. A friend in the know says 'you need the 6-139.7mm bolt pattern, and the '05-'20's should be that', but I found a listing for one (the wheels I'm looking to swap) and they say 6-140mm.

This is what my buddy says-"
    Not sure about 6-140
I'm thinking you will need to make sure they're the 6-139.7 bolt pattern(also referred to as just a 6-139 or 6x5.5)
but any 6 lug OE wheel off a '95 through 2020 Taco will have the same 6-139.7 bolt pattern"

Are they Toyota wheels you are referring to?

Your friend "in the know" may not realize that ALL Toyota 6 lug truck wheels have the same bolt pattern; 6 on 5.5. My 86 4Runner had this bolt pattern. They have other differences, like backspacing/offset. The 2nd/3rd gen wheels have smaller backspacing, which puts the wheel closer to the frame which can cause fitment issues with certain tires. There's a whole thread (many, actually) dedicated to 1st gen trucks with 2nd/3rd gen wheels. Search around, you'll find what people are doing to correct that (if anything).

Oh man...I've looked at a couple oem wheels in the toyota line up that might look good on my 02. Old landcruiser, new 4runner trd pro, new 4runner, sequoia....etc...etc... head spinning.

I hear you, I think if I spend enough time, I'll figure it out. Good luck!

Yes Toyota wheels. I hear you about the other factors. The ones I have now have 15mm offset, looking at some with ('06) w/30mm offset, and ('19) w/25mm offset. I can get the 19's for not much more cash. Thinking I might go with them if it works out. They list the same 6-139.7mm bolt pattern, the 06's list 140mm, I'm not sure about compatability w/those. Though it appears manufacturers are rounding up the 139.7's to 140's I've been told. I don't want to have to use wheel-spacers. Thank you.

any Toyota/Lexus 6-lug(bolt) wheel should fit on your truck. The pattern is the same and no clue why people would put 140mm (I have not seen this myself so :notsure:). Ford/GM/Nissan also have 6x 139.7mm (6 x 5.5) but different center bore size.

Even with the Tundra Brake Upgrade you can fit any 01+ alloy wheel (steel is a little different). Where you run into issues with the 05+ is when you upgrade tire size. stock size is fine but when you put wider tires on you introduce rubbing due to the backspacing difference
