All Ground Point Locations?

97 auto reg cab 4x4 3rz

Can anyone let me know the ground points on these trucks? Having a start issue and a random ‘cut out’ on idle. Vehicle does have a Viper alarm system when I bought it, truck would lock the doors when I turned it off, still had rough idle, I cut the power wires to the doors and still idles rough. Gonna completly remove that alarm. Thx.

 

For an 01, but should be close. Grounds are triangles.

 

what does Id and ie, ih stand for?

 

ima take a pic of my engine bay and see if im missing some, would that be strange if some were missing

 

Thats a designator that shows up in wiring diagrams, makes it easier to trace out whole circuits.

 

What do you mean by cutting out at idle? Could be other things than wiring.

This one is barely hanging on, idk what its for.

 

That goes to the negative terminal on the battery.

 

That's the main body ground. I've seen weird issues happen if that was corroded/broken but none had to do with drivability.

 

That is not the correct type of cable for the body ground .

I wonder how many more are wrong.

Any idea what the red wire off the Positive terminal is for??

Is your truck causes any Codes to trip?

Start issue Failure to Crank or failure to start?
