Alignment, after replacing shocks & struts ?

    Considering replacing shocks and struts. Should I get an alignment after, on my '05 Taco(access cab/4.0 2wD) ?

    Depends on how the shocks / struts are replaced. You can do it without messing with alignment so long as ride height stays the same.

    That stated, its waaaay easier to replace stuff by loosening the LCA cam bolts and swinging the LCA out of the way, and at that point get an alignment.

    You either gotta disconnect an outer tie rod or a upper/LBJ to do the work but they’re your tires

    Technically you could remove the two big bolts that hold the lower ball joint to the spindle. Those bolts do not offer any adjustment and removing them wont effect alignment. That stated, you will have to pull the LCA down against the resting state of the LCA bushings to get the old strut out and the new one in.

    Yep, I usually do it that way but the LCA doesn’t drop until you loosen the cam bolts.

    No money, all went to truck...
    Firestone sucks but they have a lifetime alignment package. I figure if I get 2-3 alignments done by them, my tires should be fair straight.
