I moved into a new place. Truck pretty close to a Main Street now. Loud vehicles zooming by early morning waking up my roommates. Need some help on adjusting the sensitivity on this dealers unit. I thought I had found it butt doesn’t have adjustment dial.

Google university at this moment hasn’t been much help on programming for it.

    thanks.

thanks for getting this out of the way. I already have it and it’s already paid for. No point in removing it when I just want to adjust the settings. Appreciate the help though.

There are no good reviews online for these Karr Alarms. You never see any consumers looking to buy these, only people who buy from a dealer that already installed it. It should be evidence enough when you can't even find a legitimate owner's manual online in order to adjust the settings you want.

Just spitballing here so.....I’m guessing it’s being triggered by vibration or noise so maybe try hanging it with zip ties instead of mounting it with screws? Or wrapping it up in a ZipLock bag packed with cotton balls? Or both?....

Worth a shot calling if they are still in buiz.

It’s not an alarm. It’s a tracking device so they can find your truck if you miss a payment.

It's called a Karr Alarm, and it does have your typical alarm functions as well. Just poorly documented.

Yea I had one of those on my truck too when I bought my truck at Carmax a couple of years ago. I removed it when I installed my keyless entry/remote start kit. I googled info on the Karr alarm & found how to program it. Look up your model number for the right info.. For me, that thing never worked right from the getgo anyways...

My daughter had one of them on her FJ cruiser. All it did was blast the alarm if you opened the doors and probably was responsible for some parasitic battery drain. It was a Carmax truck.

I decided to pay my indie $500 to have it removed and unfuck whatever wiring hack they did to install it.
