Strong tornado couplet showing now north of Peterson in Tuscaloosa County.

It has a big debris signature. Most intense signature of the day.

Will move into western Jefferson County, near Oak Grove, Rock Creek, Virginia Mines, Mulga, Sylvan Springs, Edgewater, Hueytown, Fairfield, Pleasant Grove, Midfielld, Bull City, Concord and Dolomite.

You have time. Go to a community shelter, any safe place.

The latest Mesoscale Discussion from the Storm Prediction Center:

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watches 109 and 110 continues.

SUMMARY
Storms are intensifying as they move into central Alabama, with local enhancement to the tornado risk evident.

DISCUSSION
Latest radar loop shows a couple of storms intensifying within the broader north-northwest to south-southeast band of storms crossing Alabama and southeast Mississippi. The two strongest storms — one moving into Cullman County and the other crossing Tuscaloosa county — appear most intense at this time, with the southern storm likely having produced a tornado recently (70 kt rotational velocity and a small CC minimum have been observed within the past 15 minutes). As this storm continues moving north-northeastward, through the very favorable thermodynamic and kinematic environment that remains in place, the potential for a strong tornado and/or damaging wind gusts has increased for areas near and northwest of Birmingham.

 

Thanks Travis. The AP is actually one of my favorites but I don't like it on the 98-00 due to the space where the top plate stops and the grill meets.

It seems so many of the storms tonight have multiple tracks over the same ground. Not good for first responders

 

This one hit my sister. Everyone is ok, no trees left around her, some damage to the house, but structure seems ok. House across the street they were told was “totaled”. Heading over first thing in the morning to help clear the drive and anything else that needs fixed.

 

Wow glad she is ok! Hope the neighbors are ok as well! I think the damage seen in the morning from Mississippi thru Alabama will be extensive!

 

We texted her it was coming on top of her and the she texted back "Omg, it hit us". I was so glad to hear her voice. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

 

I feel that! My buddy @jab08 installed one on his 3rd gen 4runner and had a bit of fitment issues. Not sure if you'd be willing to travel for it or not but my buddy chad @01Tac0ma "bashfab" just made a pretty sick front bumper for a 1st gen and could hook you up too!

Went over my parents and uncles home. They live next to each other. They are all ok but, couldn’t get them on the phone for awhile. Picture of the road they live on. My cousin drove over to check on them all.

Well, my house flooded. Not the whole thing, but I’ll lose some carpet. Obviously not as bad as some people tonight and for that I’m thankful.

 

Hopefully it it keeps up it's speed and gets out of here quickly.

 

Glad it's only the carpet! I keep seeing unbelievable reports/pictures of flooding on Twitter
