How many springs does the clutch disc in the AISIN CKT-050 clutch kit have? Someone on here with a 1st Gen Tacoma must have changed their clutch and used this kit.

I had decided to buy one, and found one on Amazon, being sold by Seller=Amazon. The photo showed just 3 springs on the disc, when I thought it was supposed to have 4, from viewing one on RockAuto, and from lookng at the LUK disc I took off.

Then, I went to the AISIN Store, featured by, or at least linked to by Amazon, and to my surprise, having been there before, recently, the photo of the CKT-050 was different than before, but it was the same photo I saw on Amazon, the photo showing 3-springs, and under that photo was PRIME. . . all art-work you think came from Amazon. And more than one of the many clutch kits had the same indications that Amazon either owned it or was the main seller, not AISIN.

Visited maybe 8 other parts sellers on-line looking specifically for the AISIN CKT-050 and found a mixture of photos with either 3 or 4 springs, but the majority had 4-springs.

And, no, I didn't spend a lot of time checking the TW search function.

BTW: found two sketchy websites in case you are interested.
    1) autopartskart.com (Not listed by BBB, but many reviewers say they are a scam)
    2) newparts.com (BBB has a lengthy list of unhappy customers)

When in doubt, check the source. The AISIN website shows the clutch in CKT-050 has 4 springs.

Thank you so much, @hamsmash. Amazon had an active link to what they call "The AISIN Store," but when I checked them out, the older photo, that had been with 4-springs now has only 3, and Amazon has its artwork all over it, including the word PRIME.

I just tried to follow your advice and "check the source," other than Amazon's "The AISIN Store." I followed the first AISIN corporate website Google found me, but search at that top level there could not recognize CKT-505. It took me quite a bit of digging before I finally came upon your hit, but I did find it. Thanks again for that advice.

BTW: I reported the improper photo back to Amazon, hoping they will correct it. And while I was doing that, I noticed that when I bought my CKT-050, for about "$170" yesterday when there was only one left under SELLER = AMAZON, now there are only 16 left for $169.39, less than a doller less than the lowest (TOTAL) price I could find, out of 18 places, (Amazon). And now, and even cheaper price, under SELLER = AutoPartsKart, a seller name I immediately recognized because when I went to check them out before buying something from them that was CHEAP, and checked the BBB, it turns out the BBB had a set of 16 really bad reviews against that seller (1.25/5 stars). I forwarded the information to Amazon, telling them to check out this seller on the BBB, that this guy is getting a free ride selling through Amazon because Amazon customers do not expect to have to vet their sellers. That's too much information, but I had to say it, so anybody else that reads this will take note.
