Airbag Lawsuit Notice - Legit or BS?

Recently received a postcard in the mail stating there’s a class action lawsuit going on regarding the airbag in certain affected Toyotas.

Just wondering if this is legit or bullshit?
I’m with BS but would like to hear if other have got the same notice and/or their opinion

Legit, I got one last week.

 

You will get $14 and the lawyers will get 14 million.

 

These are so legit I have a special place for them the trash can . Even if it is legit it’s not like you are getting some huge settlement.

Once you opt in it is possible you get slammed to donate money to help play legal fees to support your case.

I have never heard that anyone received very much in any of these Class Action Lawsuits in theory it might be possible .

Only the lawyers make the huge payouts then bill legal fees to only a pittance is left to split with the plaintiffs .

 

I got one also. Interesting that the URL on the card shows my VIN as being affected and yet the NHTSB(?) website says no recalls for my VIN...

Sometimes I'm inclined to write to the judge objecting to the Class Action simply because the attorneys reap a huge award and members of the Class receive a pittance.
Not that it has any real effect.

Free money. Sometimes you don't have to do anything. I know I got $70 from one of them. I think it was a bank error lawsuit. I never saw any harm in getting in on whatever amount of money they were giving out.

I got one of these too, by the way. I didn't check it out though, even though I meant to.

 

It's not a recall, it's a class action lawsuit. Way different.
