I have a 2013 Tacoma prerunner. All of a sudden the a/c isn't blowing hard at high speed. It is blowing but not hard. Cabin filter has been changed. There was a faint clicking noice but it has gone away. It's just not blowing as hard as it should. Any suggestions or ideas?

Have you considered hiring a hooker to give it lessons?

Wiggle the Blower resistor wires at the passengers feet.

In an attempt to be truly helpful....I believe even if the resistor is blown it still works on high. In fact, the Hi setting is the ONLY one that works. I think the resistor actually reduces voltage for the lower settings to spin slower. The Hi setting is full voltage. Meaning, the resistor doesn't come into play at all and is why it works regardless.

If the resistor plug/wires are overheating/burning, resistance increases and fan speed is slower. Hence wiggle the wires and if fan speed changes we have found the problem.

Did you wiggle the wires on the resistor? Wiggle them again.

You have to play with the headlights to get it to blow properly.

I diconnected resistor wiggled saw no sign of burns. Reconnected still nothing. Before it died it did blow on all levels of low to high. The blow output was a lot less than it should have been. It began to make noise from fan like a rattleing sound. This all makes me think the blower was going bad. Amy thoughts?

If the high beams are on, there’s usually a good chance you can get it to blow.

OP maybe your Tacoma isn't into that kind of thing.
