    Hi guys
Do the 3rd gen tacos have a horizontal adjustment screw for the headlights?
Anyone have a pic of the adjustment screws.
I found a bunch of posts for the second gen but not the 3rd...

Only Vertical Adjustment. It adjusts both low beam and high beam together.

Any pics of the adjustment screws?
Do you adjust with a 8MM socket?

Yep, access this from the top using a long Phillips head screw driver. No need to remove the headlight.

What exactly is your issue with the horizontal adjustment?

Since this was posted, and the solution is here I figured I would ask this. Anyone else think the beams were set too high from the factory? Been driving at night in the rain here and I had better sight with my Corollas headlights.

Adjust them to your liking, Toyota is actually pretty good with having decently designed headlights.

I had no problems with the OEM lights, but I always have the itch to upgrade everything I own to retrofits

My headlights were a little lower than I like. I adjusted them up a bit, much better. Perhaps they were "within specs" but I never adjust headlights based on that. I adjust them up, go for a drive at night, and if no one flashes me I figure it's all good.

I've been all over inside these headlights. The way they have it set up inside the headlight makes it so you don't need a horizontal adjustment. The lights point exactly where they need to and just require a height adjuster for the different models/lifts.

I had to check the aiming of my low beams, and used this guy's approach. I had to lower them just a bit.

Close enough, supposed to be a 2 inch drop over 25 feet.
Cutoff steps are supposed to the same distance apart as the projectors are on the truck 25 feet from the wall

How about the adjustment for the 3rd gen fogs? I know there's an adjustment, but I can't seem to figure out what I have to disassemble to get at it...

It's a screw that's under the fog light and is inboard, you'll know which one because it has a spring around it.

    20180310_171426.jpg

This is a picture of the right dog light and you can see the spring there on the left (inboard). You need to use a stubby phillips head screwdriver and for me, I did it while the grill was out and wind channeling panels too

    20180310_162057.jpg

And even then it was not that easy.

Some guys go in through the fenderwell. Some guys with longer, skinnier arm just reach down there.

Do a search on here or Google for Morimoto Fog Light Installation. There's a entire thread.

Thanks for bringing this thread back up @RobP62 . I didn't realize we could adjust the 3rd gen headlights vertically. Glad to see it's possible because I need to adjust mine.
